We are looking for a substitute teacher for Kyrkebyskolan who can teach English and music for grades 3–6.

The position is on Mondays and is 20%.

Kyrkebyskolan is located in the Agneteberg area of Arvika and is a F-6 school with an associated after-school program and adapted primary school. The school is within walking distance to Arvika city center and is close to both forest and land.

Responsibilities

You will plan and conduct lessons that develop students' language comprehension, vocabulary, and communication skills for a language choice group in English in grade 6. This may involve working with dialogues, games, reading comprehension, and creative writing exercises that make the language lively and fun.

You will lead practical music lessons where students can sing, play instruments, and explore rhythm and melody. The focus is on creating a positive and creative environment where students dare to try, collaborate, and develop their musicality. You can use both traditional instruments and digital tools to vary the teaching.

Qualifications

We would like you to have a teaching license in music or English, but it is not a requirement. The most important thing is that you can create lessons that inspire curiosity and joy, where students can develop both language and musicality in a safe environment.

As a person, you are flexible, structured, and have a good ability to build relationships. Creating positive encounters with students, parents, and colleagues is important for the operation and for you. We work closely in our teams and are looking for someone with good collaboration skills. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
